Edwin Allen High School's Nikita Tracey was yesterday named the Penn Relays 2009 female high school individual athlete of the meet after her win in the 400m hurdles on Thursday's first day.

Coach Mark Prince must be extremely happy with his team which started the fourth and final day of competition with 44 medals and another 23 medals to take the number one spot with 67 medals - gold 39, silver 15 and bronze 13, two medals less than the 69 won in the 2008 St Kitts and Nevis games.The Trinidad and Tobago team finished second with 29 medals . Barbados with 21 medals was third..watch out Penn Relays here we come again....

Jamaica defeated England 49-33 in the first of the Under-21 three-match netball series at the GC Foster College yesterday .

Kemoy Campbell

Kemoy Campbell of Bellefield High shattered the 17-year-old Class One 1500 meteres record . In the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys Championships.

Campbell led from start to finish, posting 3:48.41 minutes to shave more than three seconds off Vere Technical's Dudley Dawkins' old record of 3:51.97 set in 1992. I think that record was here for too long and I wanted it in my name," Campbell said.

Defending champions Holmwood Technical are set to claim their seventh straight ISSA/GraceKennedy Girls national championships title later this evening by taking a commanding lead after 19 finals on yesterday's third day of the event.
